Call for Participation

The RTWPB V is encouraging workers, employers, and labor groups to attend and provide their insights on the proposed wage hike. The decision to adjust wages will be based on economic conditions, the cost of living, and the needs of both employers and employees.

“This is an important opportunity for both sectors to share their opinions and concerns about the possible wage adjustments that will directly impact the livelihood of workers in our region,” the board stated.

Wage adjustments have been a critical issue in Bicol, where inflation and economic challenges have sparked calls for better compensation. Many labor groups have previously petitioned for an increase, citing rising costs of basic goods and services. Employers, on the other hand, are expected to weigh in on the feasibility of wage hikes given current business conditions.

Ensuring a Fair and Balanced Decision

The results of these public hearings will play a crucial role in determining the final wage order, ensuring that any adjustment is fair and sustainable for both workers and businesses.
