Daraga, Albay – In the midst of heavy rains, Team Viajeng Progreso, spearheaded by former Mayor Victor U. Perete, proved their unwavering commitment to public service by conducting the first day of the Malasakit sa Viajeng Progreso: Medical Mission at the San Vicente Grande Covered Court.
The medical mission provided much-needed healthcare services to residents of San Vicente Grande and nearby barangays, including Nabasan, Ibaugan, San Rafael, and Bigao. Despite challenging weather conditions, the event was a resounding success, showcasing the team’s dedication to delivering accessible and compassionate medical assistance.
Mayor Perete was joined by Hon. Jun Nuñez, and Hon. Atty. Pilo De Lumen, whose collaboration ensured the mission reached as many residents as possible. The medical team also included members of Mayor Perete’s family, demonstrating their shared dedication to serving the people of Daraga.
The initiative was met with heartfelt gratitude from beneficiaries, many of whom praised the team’s commitment to progress and genuine care for the community. Smiles and words of thanks reflected the mission’s impact, highlighting the spirit of unity and collective growth in the municipality.
In his message, Mayor Perete emphasized the importance of continuing efforts like these to uplift the community: “Sarabay tang ipadagos an Viajeng Progreso!” (Together, let’s sustain the journey of progress!)
