Tabaco City, January 13, 2025 – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Bicol extended psychosocial support to the families of four missing fishermen from Tabaco City, last seen on January 6 after venturing into the Pacific Ocean.
DSWD Bicol’s Crisis Intervention Section, under Regional Director Norman Laurio, conducted house-to-house visits and coordinated with the City Social Welfare and Development Office to ensure assistance for the affected families.
Similar efforts are ongoing for five other fishermen from Pandan, Catanduanes, also reported missing on the same day. Financial aid, food packs, and relief items are scheduled for distribution on January 15.
The DSWD Bicol reaffirms its commitment to supporting families in crisis.
