Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co once again demonstrated his commitment to service beyond his home region by fulfilling a heartfelt promise to the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) in Quezon City.
Partnering with Speaker Martin Romualdez and Tingog Party-list Representative Yedda Romualdez, Rep. Co gifted 30 Smart TVs to bring comfort and entertainment to young patients during the holiday season.
The donation was part of a promise made during the hospital’s Christmas party. In a social media post, Rep. Co shared, “As promised during our Christmas party para sa mga pasyente ng Philippine Children’s Medical Center, tayo po ay magbibigay ng 30 TV sets para sa mga ward ng ospital.”
He further emphasized the thoughtful selection process for the TV sets, stating, “Nabili na ang pangakong Smart TVs ni Speaker Martin Romualdez!
Each one was handpicked para sure ang quality—only the best for our children!” The newly delivered Smart TVs were carefully chosen to provide relief and joy to the children undergoing treatment, especially during the festive season. “I hope this will give a bit of light during the holidays to patients in the ward,” Rep. Co added. But Rep. Co’s philanthropy didn’t stop there.
Alongside the TVs, the congressional team distributed Christmas gifts personally picked for the children and provided financial assistance to support their medical needs. More notably, the group implemented a “zero billing” policy, covering all hospital bills for the patients admitted to PCMC on the day of the visit.
This act of generosity underscores Rep. Co’s advocacy for healthcare accessibility and well-being, not just in Bicol but nationwide. By going beyond his home region, he continues to show that his mission to uplift lives knows no bounds. Rep. Zaldy Co’s latest initiative is another testament to his dedication to serving the Filipino people, making meaningful contributions to the health sector, and ensuring that even the most vulnerable are cared for during times of need.
