The official campaign period for the May 2025 elections kicked off today, February 11, 2025, marking the start of a 90-day campaign for 12 Senate seats and 63 party-list slots. A total of 65 senatorial candidates and 155 party-list groups are vying for voter support.
Candidates and political groups launched their campaigns through proclamation rallies, motorcades, and public events. The Commission on Elections (Comelec) reminded all candidates to adhere to election laws and promote fair play.
As the campaign season unfolds, voters are urged to scrutinize platforms, engage in discussions, and make informed choices for the nation’s future leaders.
