It is with profound sadness that the passing of Albay First District Representative and Liberal Party President, Edcel C. Lagman, has been announced by his family.
He left this world the way he lived his life—with integrity, compassion, and fearlessness. He fought until the end with the determination and hopefulness that defined his character and all that he stood for.
He will be remembered as a remarkable father, a thoughtful and loving brother, uncle, and lolo, as well as a loyal friend. Above all, he was a principled advocate of human rights and the rule of law, leaving an indelible mark on those he served.
At his final peaceful moments, he was surrounded by his children, sisters, and family members. Born on May 1, 1942, he passed away on January 30, 2025, at 5:01 PM due to cardiac arrest.
His family and loved ones honor his memory by vowing to live their lives in ways that would make him proud.
This statement was issued by Tabaco City Mayor Krisel Lagman on behalf of the family.
