AKB Rep. Jil Bongalon Highlights Power Infrastructure Projects in Albay’s 1st District

For better service and reliable power supply in Albay’s 1st District, Ako Bicol (AKB) Party-list Representative Raul Angelo “Jil” Bongalon announced that funding is secured under the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA) for critical infrastructure projects. These include the upgrading of the Tabaco and Malinao substations and the construction of a sub-transmission/substation in Tiwi, Albay.

These initiatives aim to address power supply challenges in the district, enhancing service delivery and supporting local economic growth. Bongalon emphasized that reliable energy infrastructure is vital for improving the quality of life for residents and fostering sustainable development across the region.

As an AKB representative, Bongalon has been actively involved in securing national funding for projects that benefit Albay. His commitment to infrastructure development and public service has resonated with many constituents, further boosting his reputation in the district.

Bongalon, who recently declared his candidacy for the congressional seat in Albay’s 1st District, views these projects as a testament to his dedication to delivering tangible improvements for the community. While his candidacy serves as a backdrop, he remains focused on fulfilling his responsibilities and ensuring that ongoing initiatives align with the needs of the people.

“The upgrading of these substations and the construction of new infrastructure in Tiwi mark a significant step toward addressing our district’s power supply issues. This is just one of many ways we aim to improve the lives of the people in Albay,” Bongalon said.

As the projects unfold, they are expected to have a lasting impact on the district’s energy stability, paving the way for further growth and development in Albay’s 1st District.
