On January 19, 2025, 4,758 newly licensed Professional Teachers (LPTs) from the Bicol Region took their oath at the Albay Astrodome, Legazpi City. Organized by the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE) Bicol Chapter in collaboration with the Professional Regulatory Board for Professional Teachers and PRC RO5, the event celebrated the success of September 2024 Licensure Exam passers.
The ceremony, led by Hon. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairperson of the Board, was conducted in three sessions to accommodate all honorees. Highlights included a welcoming address by PRC RO5 Director Sharo B. Lo, motivational words from PAFTE V Chairperson Dr. Nora L. Licup, and recognition of top placers and high-performing schools.
The event concluded with closing remarks by Hon. Paraluman R. Giron and a celebratory dance by the new teachers, marking their official entry into the teaching profession.
