TAYO LAUNCHES MASSIVE RELIEF OPERATION FOR FLOOD-AFFECTED COMMUNITIES IN ALBAY

Albay, Philippines – The Team Albay Youth Organization, Inc. (TAYO), the youth arm of Team Albay led by Albay gubernatorial candidate Joey Salceda, has initiated a large-scale relief operation for communities severely affected by the recent heavy rains caused by the shearline weather phenomenon.

Dubbed “Shearline Operations,” the initiative aims to provide urgent assistance to displaced and struggling families. A staggering 100,000 kilograms of rice will be distributed across the province, ensuring food security for the most vulnerable.

In a show of solidarity, the Opinyon Bicol Volunteer Group has joined forces with TAYO to assist in the repacking efforts.

“This relief operation is a testament to the strength of community collaboration and our shared commitment to uplifting those in need,” said Joey Salceda. “Through the efforts of TAYO and our dedicated volunteers, we aim to bring comfort and hope to those affected by this disaster.”

Relief distributions are expected to commence in the coming days, targeting the hardest-hit barangays in Albay. The initiative reflects the bayanihan spirit, with community organizations and volunteers working hand in hand to address the pressing needs of flood-stricken residents.

Residents and local officials have lauded the swift response and the scale of the operation, expressing gratitude for the timely support.

TAYO continues to call on volunteers and donors to contribute to their efforts as they work to provide relief and aid to more communities across Albay.
