Legazpi City, January 13, 2025 – The Department of Education (DepEd) Bicol will hold the National Training on the Bullying Prevention Program from January 13 to 17 in Malilipot, Albay, bringing together 100 participants, including school heads, guidance counselors, and student leaders from across the country.
A collaboration between DepEd Bicol and the Learner Rights and Protection Office (LRP), the training aims to enhance understanding of bullying prevention, improve strategies for addressing incidents, and ensure the effective implementation of DepEd’s Anti-Bullying Policy in compliance with RA 10627.
DepEd Bicol Director Gilbert Sadsad highlighted the program’s focus on updating anti-bullying policies and fostering positive handling of bullying reports. Topics include case management, policy updates, and crafting localized anti-bullying policies.
The initiative underscores DepEd’s commitment to creating safe, supportive learning environments and empowering student leaders to promote anti-bullying efforts.
